WELCOMING CHEF VITTORIO LEPORE AT CELINI

Mumbai, 28 January 2026: Grand Hyatt Mumbai, the city’s landmark destination for luxury hospitality, world-class experiences, and award-winning dining, unveils Masters of the Table 2026 – a year-long culinary series designed to bring globally celebrated chefs to its signature specialty restaurants, Celini and China House. Rooted in authenticity, craftsmanship, and storytelling, the series reinforces the hotel’s commitment to curating immersive, ingredient-forward dining experiences for Mumbai’s cosmopolitan palate.

Building on the success of last year’s acclaimed guest chef collaborations, Masters of the Table 2026 raises the bar with a thoughtfully curated lineup of culinary masters from around the world, each setting the table for a distinct gastronomic narrative.

The series opens with L’Essenza d’Italia at Celini, featuring Chef Vittorio Lepore, Chef de Cuisine at Verso, Grand Hyatt Abu Dhabi. From 6 to 8 February 2026, guests are invited to experience a three-day modern Italian dining journey at lunch and dinner – deeply rooted in tradition and elevated through contemporary technique.

Born in Bari in southeast Italy, Chef Vittorio brings a deeply personal perspective to Italian cuisine, shaped by an international career spanning Florence, Südtirol, Oxfordshire, Copenhagen, and Beijing. With an exceptional pedigree that includes stints at Noma and Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, his culinary philosophy is defined by refined simplicity, ingredient-led cooking, and emotionally resonant dishes that tell a story.

For Mumbai, Chef Vittorio has curated a menu that honours his Apulian heritage while weaving in global influences gathered along his journey. Signature highlights include Orecchiette alle Cime di Rapa, coastal inspirations such as risotto with scampi and citrus, and contemporary accents like black garlic and morels—resulting in a dining experience that feels familiar in soul yet surprising in execution.

This platform allows us to bring the world to Mumbai through immersive and exclusive culinary experiences that celebrate authenticity, craft, and storytelling. Chef Vittorio’s cuisine embodies the spirit of Italy with a modern edge, and we are delighted to welcome him to Celini for the opening chapter of this year’s series.”

Chef Vittorio Lepore added, “My vision is to celebrate modern Italian cuisine through the lens of my Apulian roots, while integrating the global influences I have gathered throughout my career. For this experience, I wanted to bring the essence of Verso at Grand Hyatt Abu Dhabi to Mumbai; creating a journey that balances tradition, innovation, and the spirit of contemporary Italy.”
