Trivandrum, October 10, 2025: Hyatt Regency Trivandrum has turned up the heat at its Pan-Asian restaurant, The Oriental Kitchen, with one of Kerala’s first Sichuan-style Chinese Hot Pot experiences. The ongoing promotion, “Spice Up Your Lunch with a Chinese Hot Pot”, is curated by Chef Cong Yong Li from Beijing and offers Trivandrum a taste of China’s most social and flavorful dining ritual.
The centuries-old Hot Pot tradition brings people together around a simmering pot of broth placed at the center of the table. Guests can choose between two broth options — spicy Sichuan and clear soup — and cook a variety of fresh meats, seafood, vegetables, and noodles right at their table, pairing each bite with aromatic dipping sauces.
Chef Cong Yong Li shared, “Hot Pot is more than just a meal — it’s a shared experience. Everyone gathers around one pot, selecting ingredients, dipping them in sauces, and cooking together. The spicy Sichuan broth brings bold heat, while the clear soup offers a lighter, comforting flavor. It’s food that connects people.”
The Hot Pot menu features three curated sets for four guests — vegetarian, meat, and seafood — each designed to offer a complete, balanced, and customizable meal. The promotion is available at The Oriental Kitchen until October 12, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM (lunch only).
