New Update
Highgrove Jumeriah Carlton Tower

Jumeirah Carlton Tower launched its new afternoon tea in concept with Highgrove House & Gardens, the iconic gardens developed by His Majesty King Charles III.

The new offering further elevates Jumeirah Carlton Tower award-winning ‘A Tribute to Nature’ afternoon tea, taking inspiration from the most iconic of British gardens to deliver an experimental take on the classic British tradition in a sophisticated display of flavour. Working with locally sourced, seasonal produce, the afternoon tea will explore the best ingredients available in England through a carefully curated selection of imaginative dishes that pay tribute to the rich flavours of nature.

Over four decades, His Majesty King Charles III has devoted much energy to developing Highgrove House & Gardens into the innovative space it is today, with each of the interlinked series of gardens reflecting his own personal interests and enthusiasms. Jumeirah Carlton Tower has chosen Highgrove due to an admiration of His Majesty’s passion for the earth and consistent sustainability efforts – values which the hotel deeply respects.

Hero Highgrove

The carefully curated afternoon tea menu incorporates a selection of classically British savoury dishes, such as a coronation chicken sandwich in a nod to the gardens’ royal connection, before delving into a unique scone experience with four flavours of scone, including a scone served with honey crumble and thyme sour cream to represent Highgrove’s work with bees. Guests will then enjoy a selection of pastries inspired by garden ingredients, including a rosemary lavender strawberry tart adorned with decoration made from strawberry wastage, before ending with three royal-inspired cakes – a Queen Victoria sponge favoured by Queen Camilla, His Majesty’s own favourite fruit cake, and a chocolate biscuit cake inspired by the late Queen Elizabeth II’s preferred sweet treat, which was also served at the wedding of the Prince and Princess of Wales.
