Complementing the traditional dishes will be live street food counters serving phuchka, jhal muri, kathi rolls, kebabs and chaat, alongside pan-Indian favourites such as Hyderabadi Biryani, Paneer Lababdar and Dal Tadka and an array of global cuisines including continental grills, oriental stir-fries, pastas and sushi. An exquisite dessert selection featuring Nolen Gur Rasgulla, Rajbhog, Mishti Doi, Sandesh, Payesh, cheesecakes and pastries will complete the feast.
Mahabhoj will be hosted daily from 12:00 pm to 4:30 pm, priced at INR 2550++ per person and INR 1300++ for children, with an optional unlimited alcoholic beverage package at INR 2200 all-inclusive. Guests booking in advance can avail an exclusive early bird offer, enjoying the Mahabhoj buffet at a special price of INR 2200++. To elevate the experience, live Bollywood and Tollywood music performances will accompany the dining experience each day.
For those seeking a more contemporary dining celebration, JW Kitchen, the hotel’s all-day dining venue, will present a lavish series of festive buffets where Bengali heritage meets international flair. Guests can enjoy lunch from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm and dinner from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm, both priced at INR 2750++, as well as a midnight buffet from 12:00 am to 3:00 am priced at INR 1700++. A dedicated kids’ buffet will also be available at INR 1400++. Diners will be treated to a rich variety of flavours, from Bengali classics such as Chingri Malai Curry, Mutton Dakbunglow, Fish Paturi and Begun Bhaja to global offerings including sushi rolls, roast meats, grills and pastas. Traditional sweets like Mishti Doi, Rasgulla, Rajbhog and Sandesh will be complemented by desserts such as chocolate mousse, cheesecakes and pastries. To heighten the festive spirit, the venue will also host live music performances throughout the celebrations.
For guests looking for a premium fine-dining experience, Vintage Asia will offer an exquisite à la carte Pan-Asian menu. The restaurant will feature signature dishes such as Som Tam, Kaffir Lime Seafood Dumplings and Mongolian Peppered Lamb Chops, along with an elaborate selection of sushi, nigiri and sashimi platters including salmon, tuna, hamachi and tempura rolls. Signature wok specials like Kung Pao Chicken, XO Tiger Prawns and Thai curries will also be on the menu. Delectable desserts such as Tub Tim Krob, Tanzania 63 – a dark chocolate mango cream creation – and Vintage Surprise with raspberry meringue and wasabi ice cream will add an indulgent finish.
Durga Puja, one of the grandest festivals in India, particularly in West Bengal, is a time of devotion, culture and togetherness. It celebrates the triumph of Goddess Durga over the demon Mahishasura and has grown into a socio-cultural extravaganza that unites communities across the city through art, music and above all, food. Embracing this spirit, JW Marriott Kolkata aims to create an unforgettable festive journey that honours tradition while offering guests a modern, luxurious experience.
“This year, we are proud to curate a dining celebration that truly captures the essence of Durga Puja. Through Mahabhoj, JW Kitchen and Vintage Asia, we endeavour to bring people together in joy, indulgence and tradition while delivering the warmth and hospitality that JW Marriott Kolkata is known for,”
Sunil Kumar, General Manager, JW Marriott Kolkata.
