This June, embark on a royal culinary journey at JW Kitchen, JW Marriott Kolkata, as the hotel presents the Awadhi Mango Food Festival — a one-of-a-kind celebration inspired by the rich gastronomic heritage of the Nawabs of Awadh and their legendary fondness for mangoes. Running from 20th to 30th June, this 10-day festival brings the soul of Lucknow’s regal kitchens to Kolkata, with a mango-forward menu that’s both nostalgic and indulgent.
At the heart of this festival lies Malihabad’s iconic Dussehri mango, a fruit once favoured by Awadhi royalty. The chefs at JW Kitchen have crafted a menu that pays homage to this culinary legacy, transforming the mango into the star ingredient across appetisers, mains, breads, desserts, and beverages. Each dish is a reflection of seasonal abundance, traditional wisdom, and refined Nawabi elegance.
