Kochi Welcomes the Season of Joy; Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremonies Signal the Start of Festivities

Kochi, December 6, 2025: The festive season has officially commenced in Kochi with two magnificent Christmas Tree Lighting ceremonies hosted by Kochi Marriott Hotel and Crowne Plaza Kochi, spreading cheer and marking the symbolic start of the season of joy.

Kochi Marriott Hotel started the Christmas month with a grand celebration that brought together distinguished guests and families. The hotel also used the occasion to mark Global Customer Appreciation Week 2025, celebrating the theme “Marriott Bonvoy – Travel Shapes Us!” Popular actress Leona Lishoy was the chief guest for the evening.  

Sachin Malhotra, General Manager of Kochi Marriott Hotel, remarked, “We were delighted to bring the community together for this cherished tradition. Global Customer Appreciation Week is a special time set aside to express gratitude to guests and celebrate the relationships and moments we’ve had the privilege of sharing with them.” The chief guest for the evening was popular actress Leona Lishoy. The ceremony was attended by Sachin Malhotra, General Manager, Sharon Raj, Multi Property Director Sales and Marketing, Nicky Esther John- Multi Property Marketing Manager, Syamjith Venugopal Director Food & Beverage and Suresh Baabu - Executive Chef.

Crowne Plaza Kochi celebrated focusing on the spirit of giving. Children from Ashwasa Bhavan Orphanage were the guests of honour, receiving the first batch of freshly baked plum cakes and surprise toys, a promise fulfilled from the earlier cake-mixing ceremony. The beautiful décor pieces, including the gingerbread house and wreaths, were crafted by Raksha Society for the Care of Children with Special Needs. Chief Guest was Sherly Rejimon, CEO, Milan Designs, and Director KGA Group of companies Mr. Benson Abraham.
