Marriott Executive Apartments Bengaluru – UB City Illuminates the Festive Season with Its Signature Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

December 10, 2025, Bengaluru, India: Marriott Executive Apartments Bengaluru UB City commenced the festive season with its annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, featuring the unveiling of a striking 12-foot handcrafted Karnataka Cultural Christmas Tree. The celebration brought together long-stay residents, corporate partners, and associates for an evening that honoured regional craftsmanship and community spirit.

This year’s installation pays homage to Karnataka’s rich artistic heritage, thoughtfully designed in collaboration with skilled local artisans. Every layer of the 12-foot tree is crafted to celebrate the state’s diverse craft traditions, weaving together colours, textures, and techniques that are synonymous with the region.

The body of the tree is adorned with Mysore silk detailing and Ilkal saree borders, bringing in the iconic weaves and vibrant patterns Karnataka is known for. These textile elements are complemented by cotton khadi accents, adding a rustic, hand-spun charm that grounds the installation in indigenous craft.

Adding further depth and cultural expression, the tree features intricate Lambani embroidery and mirror work, showcasing the exquisite handmade artistry of the Lambani community. Surrounding the tree are playful and colourful Channapatna wooden toy-inspired elements, a tribute to the state’s renowned lacquerware tradition. The display also includes terracotta craft pieces, lending an earthy, artisanal touch to the festive décor.

Accompanied by handcrafted festive characters inspired by Channapatna craft traditions, the décor serves as a cultural showcase that blends Karnataka’s artisanal legacy with the warmth of the holiday season.
