Ministry of Kebabs Celebrates Bengal’s Beloved Hilsa with ‘Ilish Ache, Bhuribhoj Hobe’ at Novotel Kolkata Hotel & Residences

Kolkata, July 2025: Ministry of Kebabs at Novotel Kolkata Hotel & Residences presents Ilish Ache, Bhuribhoj Hobe, a thoughtfully curated à la carte festival celebrating Bengal’s most iconic monsoon delicacy, Hilsa. Scheduled from 18th to 27th July, this ten-day culinary showcase is a tribute to the deep cultural and emotional connection Bengalis share with ilish, brought to life through timeless recipes, elevated techniques, and soulful storytelling.

Curated by Chef Rana Mukherjee, Executive Sous Chef, the menu features an exquisite array of traditional favourites including Shorshe Ilish, Doi Ilish, Ilish Pulao, Kanchalonka Dhonepata Ilish, and Ilish Bhapa Paturi, illish korma, illish Begun Dia. Each preparation pays homage to classic Bengali cooking methods—whether steamed, mustard-marinated, or slow-cooked—evoking the rich flavours and nostalgia of Bengal’s culinary heritage.
