NRAI Bengaluru Chapter announces the First-ever “NRAI POWER ROOM”

• An exclusive closed-door dialogue bringing together F&B icons, Swiggy Leadership and key city authorities

Bengaluru, December 12^th, 2025: The National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) Bengaluru Chapter is set to host the first edition of THE NRAI POWER ROOM, a closed-door forum designed for senior-level conversations between Bengaluru’s F&B leaders, platform partners and city authorities.

The Power Room has been created to bring clarity to issues that require direct access to decision-makers, going beyond routine chapter discussions. The format allows members to engage in a grounded, solutions-focused dialogue on real challenges shaping the city’s F&B ecosystem.

The first edition of the Power Room will feature three stalwarts of Bengaluru’s F&B ecosystem - Desmond Rice, Prem Koshy, and Rajesh Rajaram who will share reflect on the city’s evolving F&B landscape and share practical learnings from decades of building some of its most recognisable institutions.

A key highlight of the event will be a live Q&A-driven interaction with Swiggy senior leadership addressing topics such as visibility and ranking dynamics, commission structures, escalation mechanisms, menu optimisation and cost pressures. The conversation is structured to help members understand how platform and restaurant expectations can align more effectively. In addition, representatives from the Bengaluru Fire Department will offer guidance on strengthening safety preparedness. Their interaction will focus on helping members understand common compliance gaps, documentation clarity and simple practices that reduce operational risk, keeping the discussion informative and grounded rather than technical or alarm-driven.

Speaking about the initiative, Ananth Narayan NRAI Bengaluru Chapter Head said, “The NRAI Power Room is our effort to bring absolute clarity, transparency, and collaboration into Bengaluru’s F&B ecosystem. By creating a space where restaurant leaders, platform partners, and authorities can speak openly, we are strengthening the foundation of trust and problem-solving that this industry truly deserves.”

Moderated in a conversational, live-podcast style by VIC, the session will also feature active audience participation, followed by networking over drinks and dinner.
