National, 28th January 2026: Ran Baas, The Palace, Patiala celebrates its first anniversary, marking one year since it was launched as Punjab’s first luxury heritage palace hotel. Since opening its doors in January 2025, Ran Baas, The Palace has emerged as a strong example of how heritage hotels can be thoughtfully restored, positioned, and operated as luxury destinations.
Over the past year, the palace hotel has received multiple international and national accolades for heritage conservation and design-led restoration reinforcing its standing as not just one of India’s, but one of world’s most distinctive palace hotels. The hotel’s membership with Relais & Châteaux, along with recognition from UNESCO’s Prix Versailles, One Michelin Key, AHEAD Asia, Conde Nast Traveller, and Architectural Digest among others, underscore the hotel’s ability to set a new benchmark for heritage-led luxury hospitality.

Ran Baas, The Palace has played a strategic role in reviving Patiala’s relevance on the luxury travel map by spotlighting Punjab’s rich cultural heritage, royal history, crafts, music, and culinary traditions. The city was brought together to celebrate through curated events like Sur Mahal, pop-up fairs, and cultural showcases. The culinary experiences continued to draw inspiration from regional and royal kitchens at Neel and The Patiala Bar, while curated sunset high-tea rituals, wellness therapies at Aura Spa, and cultural moments unfolded at an unhurried pace, embodying THE Park’s signature Anything But Ordinary experiences.
