Kolkata, August 2025 –Hyatt Centric Ballygunge Kolkata invites guests to experience the soulful flavours of Gujarat with ‘YAYAvar Journeys to Gujarat’, a specially curated Gujarati Food Festival at YAYAvar. Scheduled from August 22nd to 24th, this limited-period celebration, curated by Home Chef Shachi Jain, brings alive the essence of Gujarat through a traditional thali that blends heritage recipes, bold flavours, and the warmth of authentic Gujarati hospitality.
The festival celebrates the rich culinary heritage of the state with an exclusive Gujarati thali, available throughout the day, offering a compact yet flavourful journey through its diverse gastronomic landscape. The experience begins with a refreshing welcome drink ; Chaas followed by the first course featuring authentic Farsan served with chutneys and Sambharo, along with delicacies such as Handvo, Khatta Dhokla, Methi na Gota, Moringa Leaves Muthia, and Khandvi Bites.
The main course presents an array of traditional dishes, including Gujarati Kadhi, Akha Mag, Gwar Dhokli, Rasiya Muthia, Sev Tindoda (Kundru), Sev Tamatar, Lasuniya Bateka, Bharela Ringan Bateka, and Dahi Vada. These are served with freshly made breads such as Methi Thepla and Rotli, accompanied by rice and Khichdi. On the side, guests can enjoy Kachumber, Papad, and pickle.The thali concludes with classic Gujarati desserts such as Kesar Shrikhand and Basundi ensuring a complete and satisfying feast, rich in history, tradition, and the authentic soul of Gujarat.
