Savour the Flavours of Japan: Mizu Izakaya Pop-Up at Vintage Asia, JW Marriott Kolkata

 Mumbai's beloved Japanese restaurant, Mizu Izakaya, is bringing its culinary offerings for the first time to Kolkata through an exclusive pop-up at Vintage Asia, the signature Asian restaurant at JW Marriott, from 13th September to 15th September 2024. Known for its distinctive blend of traditional Japanese techniques and locally sourced Indian ingredients, Mizu Izakaya promises to transport guests to the bylanes of Tokyo, right in the heart of Kolkata.

 Curated by Chef Lakhan Jethani, Head Chef & Co-founder of Mizu Izakaya, the menu includes a variety of offerings, from the Fresh Seaweed Salad to a selection of Kozara (small plates), featuring both cold and hot options such as the rich and flavorful Hamachi with garam masala Smoked Ponzu, Salmon Yuzu Truffle with Gondhoraj, Stuffed Bhavnagri with Tare, and Shio Konbu Mushroom, among others.

 Sushi lovers are in for a treat with a range of rolls such as the Prawn and Avocado Dragon Roll, King Salmon & Jalapeño Roll, and Spicy Avocado Roll, to name a few. Each dish reflects Mizu Izakaya's philosophy of meticulous craftsmanship and respect for ingredients. To further enhance the dining experience, the event will feature a variety of Gyoza, served with Kashmiri chilli la-yu, including Edamame Truffle Gyoza and Chicken & Shiso Gyoza. The menu will also include Steamed Open Baos, like the Chicken Karaage Bao and the Smoked Pumpkin & Tempura Aubergine Bao, offering a fusion of textures and flavours that is sure to please.

End your meal on a sweet note with a must-try Sakura, a single-origin Madagascar Chocolate Mousse with wine-poached cherry confit and milk chocolate sorbet, or indulge in the house-made Black sesame gelato or the matcha gelato.
