Kolkata, November 2025: With winter settling in and the evenings turning softer, Novotel Kolkata Hotel & Residences is set to launch BBQ Evenings by the Poolside at Café Joy on 20th November, 2025. It’s a setting made for the season with  glowing grills, easy conversations, and the quiet pleasure of dining under an open sky.

Set against the serene backdrop of the pool deck, the evening brings together open-fire cooking, crafted beverages, and the relaxed charm of being outdoors. Designed for the city’s laid-back food lovers,BBQ Evenings by the Poolside turns the entire pool deck into a relaxed yet refined grill space, where guests can sit back under the open sky and take in the warmth, aroma, and ambience of a winter evening.

The highlight of the experience is the World Grill BBQ Menu, shaped by global flavours and live-flame cooking. The meal opens with a bright Brazilian Heart of Palm Salad with pomelo, greens, cherry tomatoes, olives, red onions, garlic croutons, and a citrus vinaigrette. Fresh rosemary focaccia and ciabatta follow, served with flavoured butter and pesto, setting a warm beginning before the grills take over.

The vegetarian selection leads the experience with tandoori-marinated cottage cheese grilled with peppers and onions, garlic-parmesan broccoli, Jamaican jerk-spiced pumpkin, smoky paprika-lime sweet potato, Italian balsamic-herb zucchini, and za’atar-marinated bell peppers stuffed with couscous, chickpeas, sun-dried tomatoes, and olives. Each dish brings its own character and works beautifully with the soft winter breeze and open-air setting.

The non-vegetarian grill carries its own global story with South African peri-peri chicken legs, Mediterranean lemon-herb chicken breasts, American bourbon-glazed chicken sausages, Brazilian moqueca-style fish fillets, Thai lemongrass-chili prawns, and German beer-mustard pork sausages each cooked over charcoal for that unmistakable smoky edge.To complement guests can pair their grills with five signature sauces, ranging from bright and herby chimichurri and Italian salsa verde to rich Indonesian peanut satay, a classic smoked tomato BBQ, and a bold North African harissa mayo. Dessert brings a gentle finish with a choice between a classic cheesecake or a soft, milky tres leches.
