This January, JW Marriott Hotel Bengaluru curates a month-long celebration of India’s regional kitchens, where each week opens a new chapter of the country, told through food meant to be shared at the table, remembered long after, and savoured without haste.
The journey unfolds across the country through defining dishes that carry the soul of their regions. Aloo ke Gutke from the hills of Uttarakhand, Laal Maas from Rajasthan’s rustic kitchens, Sarson da Saag from Punjab’s winter hearths, Assamese Fish Curry from the Northeast, and the silken depth of Galawat Kebabs from Lucknow. It then moves into the heartland with Champaran Mutton from Bihar, turns bold with Malvani Fish Curry from Maharashtra, settles into comforting southern flavours with Kerala Fish Curry, captures Kolkata’s indulgent spirit with Kosha Mangsho, and concludes in the quiet elegance of Kashmir with Rogan Josh.
Desserts arrive like familiar endings to a family meal. Kumaoni Halwa, Malpua with Rabri, Hot Roshogolla, Khaja, Sheer Khurma, and Sewaiyon ka Zarda, each carrying the sweetness of tradition, warmth, and celebration.
