Chandigarh: Taj Chandigarh has taken a significant step towards environmental responsibility with the launch of its in-house water bottling plant, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable hospitality under Paathya, IHCL’s comprehensive Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) framework.

The newly commissioned facility has the capacity to produce up to 1,000 bottles every day, substantially reducing the hotel’s dependence on externally sourced packaged drinking water. This initiative has already resulted in the elimination of approximately 3500 kg per month of plastic, contributing meaningfully to waste reduction efforts. By adopting this sustainable solution, Taj Chandigarh continues to minimize plastic consumption, optimize resource utilization, and lower its overall carbon footprint, while upholding the highest standards of guest safety and quality.
