Surat, January 2025: Surat Marriott Hotel recently hosted an extraordinary two-day Japanese food pop-up – TALES OF TOKYO on the 25th and 26th of January at its Pan-Asian specialty restaurant, Vintage Asia. This unique culinary event brought the essence of Japan to Surat, featuring an exclusive menu curated by renowned Japanese Chef Miki Nagaishi, who travelled all the way from Japan with her talented team to create an unforgettable dining experience.
The event was a perfect blend of cultural exchange and gastronomic delight, as Chef Nagaishi and her team collaborated with the skilled chefs of Vintage Asia to craft a menu that highlighted the authentic flavors and artistry of Japanese cuisine. Guests indulged in an array of traditional dishes, including Okonomiyaki—a savory pancake filled with various toppings, Dashimaki Tamago—a delicate Japanese rolled omelette, Chirashi Zushi—a beautifully arranged bowl of sushi rice topped with fresh sashimi and vegetables, and the comforting Japanese Curry with Rice.
