Singapore 19 January 2026 – This Lunar New Year, JW Marriott Phu Quoc presents Tết - The Blooming Season, a nine-day celebration shaped by culture, cuisine, wellness and moments, set against the calm sweep of Emerald Bay.

Recently ranked #5 Best Resort in Asia by Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards, the resort is known for transforming seasonal traditions into experiences with depth and character. Within Bill Bensley’s imaginative Lamarck University setting, Tết is reimagined as a moment of renewal: when nature begins to stir, the body finds balance and the year ahead is welcomed with intention.

Anchored by Lichun, the first breath of spring, and alongside Valentine’s Day, the season blends long-standing traditions with contemporary ease, inviting guests to celebrate ‘Tết’ through thoughtful dining, restorative wellness and unhurried moments by the sea.

 The Three Expressions of Blooming

Throughout the season is the idea of Blooming, expressed through three interconnected layers shaping the guest journey.

Nature Blooming is felt in the resort’s open landscapes, from the signature JW Garden to the edge of the famous Emerald Bay, where light, greenery and sea air signal the arrival of spring.

Physical Wellbeing Blooming unfolds through restorative spa journeys and gentle wellness practices that encourage the body to release and renew.

Completing the experience, Mind Blooming invites moments of stillness and intention, through meditation, breathwork and symbolic rituals that mark fresh beginnings.

Lichun: The First Breath of Spring

Observed on 4 February, Lichun, the traditional marker of spring, sets the emotional tone for Tết at JW Marriott Phu Quoc. Less a ceremony than a shift in atmosphere, it signals the moment when the season turns, away from festivity and toward balance, clarity and renewal.

Set within the JW Garden, the day brings together open-air wellness rituals and a relaxed garden gathering. Gentle movement, breath-led practices and stillness moments are paired with a seasonal dining experience by Michelin Collector, Chef Olivier Elzer, whose menu draws on early spring ingredients and the idea of sharing food as a gesture of renewal. Together, these experiences ground Tết – The Blooming Season in nature, intention and the quiet pleasure of beginning again.

 A Living Celebration of Tết

Throughout the festive period, the resort becomes a vibrant yet unhurried stage for Lunar New Year traditions.

Lamarck House stands out as the resort’s most spacious and private seven-bedroom residence, designed for stays that call for absolute seclusion and the highest level of personalization. Inspired by classic French architecture, the villa features generous living spaces, a private garden and an ocean-facing infinity pool, evoking the feeling of owning an entire seaside mansion overlooking Emerald Bay. The Lamarck House All-Inclusive Experience further elevates the stay with complimentary spa treatments, a private BBQ hosted at the villa, flexible check-in and check-out privileges, and private airport transfers—creating a seamless, unhurried retreat shaped entirely around the owners’ own rhythm.

At Tempus Fugit, Vietnamese Tết flavours take centre stage in a seasonal set menu that honours familiar tastes while elevating with refined technique. Nearby, Place de Lamarck, the outdoor square known as the central heart of the resort, hosting the lively Oriental Night Market alongside a festive Flavours of the East buffet inspired by Korean, Chinese and Vietnamese cuisines. All by the vivid ocean color of the famous Emerald Bay. Traditional dragon and lion dances animate the celebration, calling for good fortune for the year ahead.

Across the season, quieter moments tight closely to cultural heritage. Calligraphy and handcrafted clay toy-making are offered throughout the day, suitable for all generations to engage with meaningful rituals.

Fire, Flavour and the Rhythm of the Sea

Along the beachfront, Red Rum is the livelier energy of the season. Fire-grill nights and signature Tides & Fire BBQs are just perfect for relaxed evenings by the sea, joined by playful concepts such as Chimaek by the Sea, pairing Korean fried chicken with SunKraft Beer, and a vibrant Brazil Festival BBQ that busts with flavors.

For a gentler pause, French & Co presents its Spring Festival Afternoon Tea, including delicate pastries and fragrant brews inspired by spring flavours. The café also introduces a curated Tết Hamper, created in collaboration with Dilmah Tea and Annam Gourmet, designed for gifting or enjoying in the privacy of one’s villa.

At the Department of Chemistry Bar, a limited-edition selection of Tết cocktails draws inspiration from the colours, aromas and symbolism of spring.

Valentine’s Day, A Softer Side of Tết

When Tết and Valentine’s Day fall in the same season, the celebration becomes richer and more intimate. At Red Rum, romance is relaxed and elemental: tables set along the shoreline, candlelight moving with the sea breeze, and a Romantic Beach Set Menu served to the crackling fire from the grill.

Pink Pearl by Olivier E. offers a more polished expression. Within its pink-hued, couture-inspired mansion, Pink Valentine with Taittinger pairs refined French cuisine with Champagne, live piano and vocal performances, and an atmosphere that recalls a grand European dining salon. Bridging visionary storytelling with local artistry, the resort has partnered with Aapis Flower to debut eight inspirational orchid installations. Inspired by the multi-layered 'Blooming' concept, each piece tells a distinct story of vitality and rebirth, offering guests an immersive glimpse into the harmony between the natural world and the blooming of the human soul.

Wellness as a New Year Ritual
