- New themed “Golden Forest” offers guests immersive culinary experiences
Jim Corbett National Park, 3 October 2025: The Golden Tusk, an experiential family Holiday retreat on the edge of Jim Corbett National Park, has announced the expansion of its dining portfolio with the revamp of its signature all-day dining, buffet + à la carte restaurant, “The Golden Forest”.
Offering breathtaking views of the Corbett National Park from both the indoor dining area and the open-air deck, and now reimagined area by 350 sq ft, “The Golden Forest” now also offers live Indian street food as well as a dedicated Kumaoni corner with local delicacies that include Aloo Gutke (spiced potatoes), Bhatt ki Churkani (black soybean curry), and Kaapa (spinach gravy), Bhang ki Chutney, and Jhangore ki Kheer (millet pudding), alongside the multicuisine Indian, Oriental and Continental fare.
Speaking on the expansion, Anirudh Lakhotia, Director, Ivory Destinations, said, “With the revamped Golden Forest, we wanted to go beyond dining and create spaces that cater to diverse guest preferences and celebrate local culture and ingredients that embody the local Kumaoni spirit of Corbett. Guests can now enjoy not only great food but also the ambience and storytelling of the forest in every meal.”
The Golden Forest, a long-time guest favourite, has been redesigned with increased seating capacity, high ceilings, and forest-inspired décor that mirrors the wilderness of Corbett. Guests can savour class-leading spreads for breakfast, lunch, and dinner while enjoying sweeping views of the forest landscape. The enhanced design makes the restaurant not just a dining venue, but a destination where cuisine and nature converge.
Guests can look forward to live cooking stations, chef’s specials curated with seasonal produce, and menus that highlight both Indian and international flavours. The Golden Tusk also offers other dining experiences that include The Jungle Grill (open-air, forest-themed BBQ / grilled fare), Water Dining (dinner with shallow water or knee-deep pool setting) , The Gin Tree (lounge / bar) as well as private Dining venues (for romantic or intimate meals)
Looking ahead, The Golden Tusk plans to launch curated dining experiences such as chef’s table dinners, farm-to-fork menus, and outdoor grills under the stars - all reinforcing its promise of immersive, memorable stays where food is as central as the forest.
Beyond dining, guests at The Golden Tusk can indulge in curated safaris, riverside walks, outdoor adventures, and holistic wellness programs—each designed to bring them closer to the true spirit of Corbett.
The Golden Tusk has been deeply committed to sustainable tourism, blending luxury with eco-conscious practices and supporting the local community.
