Udaipur, June 2025 – This June, The Leela Palace Udaipur is honoured to host Megu, The Leela Palace New Delhi’s iconic Japanese restaurant and a name synonymous with refined gastronomy, for an exclusive four-day culinary residency from 19th to 22nd June 2025.

A recipient of the Condé Nast Traveller Restaurant of the Year Award (2019) and featured on the prestigious Top 50 Restaurants in India list (2025), Megu is celebrated for its modern yet deeply respectful approach to Japanese cuisine. With a philosophy rooted in purity of flavour, precision of technique, and an uncompromising attention to detail, Megu has established itself as a benchmark for contemporary Japanese dining in India.

Curated by Chef Shubham Thakur, the residency will offer two unique formats:

• 19th & 20th June: An à la carte showcase of Megu’s signature dishes, including hand-rolled sushi, pristine sashimi, delicately grilled robatayaki, and other modern classics.
• 21st & 22nd June: An immersive, multi-course tasting experience—a thoughtfully choreographed journey through Japan’s diverse culinary landscape.

This rare experience brings Megu’s Tokyo-inspired elegance to the heart of Rajasthan, framed by the shimmering waters of Lake Pichola and the palatial grandeur of The Leela. It is a moment for connoisseurs of fine cuisine to savour the best of both worlds—heritage and innovation, tradition and artistry.
