Relive the evolution of Anglo-Indian cuisine, a legacy where colonial memory meets comfort food. Guiding you through this delicious chapter of history is Chef Bridget White-Kumar, celebrated culinary historian and award-winning cookbook author. Hailing from a quaint town in Karnataka famously known as "Little England," Chef Bridget has dedicated her life to preserving and reviving the nuanced legacy of Anglo-Indian cooking.
The pop-up will showcase dishes that capture the curious balance of Anglo-Indian life - like the Bengal Lancer’s Temperado Prawns, with its army-camp legacy and bold, sweet-sharp gravy, or the Mutton Meatball Ball Curry, where Indian spice meets British comfort.
From the elevated Railway Vegetable Cutlet with a side of Devil Relish Chutney, evoking the charm of long-lost train journeys, to the humble Bread Pudding with Vanilla Ice Cream; every dish is a nod to tradition, storytelling, and soul.
Come hungry- for food, for history, and for second helpings!
