Mumbai, January 2025: Embark on a culinary journey across the Malaysian culinary landscape as JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar is honored to host ‘Truly Malaysia’, a Malaysian Food and Cultural Festival at JW Café from 27th January - 1st February, 2025, in collaboration with Tourism Malaysia and The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur. This momentous occasion marks a significant milestone, being the first international launch of the Visit Malaysia Year 2026 campaign and the inaugural collaboration with Marriott International, setting the stage for many more exciting partnerships to come.

Guests will be treated to a surreal multi-sensory experience highlighting Malaysia’s vibrant culture, culinary diversity, and attractions. Traditional Malaysian dancers will bring the event to life with captivating performances, complemented by interactive activities and the opulent ambience of JW Café. 

The festival will feature an exceptional Malay menu showcasing an array of traditional delicacies curated together by Chef Luqman Rusman, Sous Chef at The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur and Chef Prakash Chettiyar, Director of Culinary at JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar. With over 13 years in the industry, Chef Luqman brings a wealth of experience and deep passion for elevating classic Malay dishes. His journey began with early mentorship from Malaysia's leading Malay cuisine experts, and specializes in crafting sophisticated Malay cuisine, blending creativity and innovation while honoring its deep-rooted traditions.

Savor authentic Malay delicacies like the Assam Laksa Veg Soup, a delightful selection of appetizers like Malaysian Chicken Satay, Malaysian Broccoli Satay, Malaysian Lamb Satay and Malaysian Mushroom Satay along with artisanal salads like Rojak Salad and Kerabu Manga. The mains feature Vegetable Mee Curry, Char Kway Teow Noodles, Lamb Rendang Curry and Nasi Kerabu, amongst many others.
