MUMBAI, JANUARY 13, 2026: The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality company, today marks its foray into Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu with a Ginger branded hotel. This is a greenfield project.

Ms. Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL, said, “Tuticorin is emerging as a key economic hub in South India, driven by its strong industrial base and new investments. The growth of mega projects in the automobile and energy sectors has created significant long-stay demand, making it an ideal market for Ginger’s presence. Strategically located along the Tirunelveli-Tuticorin highway, the 100-key Ginger Tuticorin will offer convenient access to the city’s industrial and commercial hubs. Guests can enjoy Ginger’s signature Qmin restaurant offering curated culinary experiences, along with a lively bar for social gatherings. The hotel will also feature versatile meeting spaces to cater to business requirements. For fitness enthusiasts, a state-of-the-art fitness center will provide facilities for holistic well-being.

Tuticorin, also known as Thoothukudi, is a major port city located on the Coromandel Coast along the Bay of Bengal in Tamil Nadu. With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have 28 hotels in Tamil Nadu, including 10 under development.
