Mumbai, March 29: The Hotel And Restaurant Association (Western India) – HRAWI conducted FSSAI’s latest Food Safety Supervisor Training in Advance Catering (FoSTaC), on 26th March, 2025 at the Radisson Hotel, Candolim in Goa. The training programme was attended by 39 hospitality professionals, equipping them with critical insights into food safety protocols, sanitation practices and sustainable waste management strategies to elevate operational standards across the sector.

The session was inaugurated by Dr Pasupathy V., Trainer, Parikshan; Ms Supriya Gawas - Cluster HR Manager; Chef Abishek Bhagat – Executive Chef; Mr Sarvesh G Sawant – Asst. L&D Manager of Radisson Hotel Goa Candolim; Ms Suberna Chhetri - Demi Chef de parties, Grand Hyatt Goa; Mr Ajinkya Eknath Shettye - Executive Sous Chef, Goa Marriott Resort & Spa; and Mr Dibyendu Biswas - Sous Chef, Taj Cidade De Goa.

With this latest edition, HRAWI has now certified 3,376 professionals through its FoSTaC initiatives, reaffirming its dedication to promoting a robust culture of food safety. These programmes aim to empower hospitality stakeholders with actionable knowledge and skills to maintain compliance with national safety regulations and global best practices.

The Hotel And Restaurant Association (Western India) – HRAWI is a 74 years old Association of Hotels and Restaurants in Western India. Its members include Restaurants and Hotels up to 5-Star Deluxe categories. With membership base spread across Western India, HRAWI covers Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Goa and Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, and is considered to be the voice of the Hospitality Industry. The association is part of the national body of the Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI), located in New Delhi, which was originally founded in Mumbai in 1950 by the late Mr J.R.D. Tata.
