HRAWI hosts FSSAIs FoSTaC programme in Mumbai

Mumbai, April 24: The Hotel And Restaurant Association (Western India) – HRAWI conducted FSSAI’s latest Food Safety Supervisor Training in Advance Catering (FoSTaC), on 16th April, 2025 at The Leela Mumbai - Resort Style Business Hotel. The training programme was attended by 34 hospitality professionals, equipping them with critical insights into food safety protocols, sanitation practices and sustainable waste management strategies to elevate operational standards across the sector.

 The session was inaugurated by Dr Pasupathy V., Trainer, Parikshan; Mr Tejrao Mankar - Chief Engineer; Chef Aungshuman Chakraborty - Executive Chef; Ms Disha Ghag - Hygiene Manager; Mr Rakkesh Rohit - Front Office Manager; Mr Sadashiv Bangera - Head HR; Mr Vivek Sukhija - F&B Manager; Mr Manohar Nimbhore - L&D Manager; Mr Sunishchal Parasnis - Director of Sales & Marketing; Mr Abhishek Singh - Executive Assistant Manager Rooms and Mr Premal Bhandari - Housekeeping Manager of The Leela Mumbai - Resort Style Business Hotel.

 With this latest edition, HRAWI has now certified 3,446 professionals through its FoSTaC initiatives, reaffirming its dedication to promoting a robust culture of food safety. The programmes aim to empower hospitality stakeholders with actionable knowledge and skills to maintain compliance with national safety regulations and global best practices.
