Mumbai, July 31: The Hotel And Restaurant Association (Western India) – HRAWI conducted FSSAI’s latest Food Safety Supervisor Training in Advance Catering (FoSTaC), on 29th July, 2025 at The Dukes Retreat in Khandala. Marking a significant milestone, the session was the 101st FoSTaC training organized by the Association and was attended by 36 hospitality professionals. Designed to enhance operational standards across the sector, the programme provided participants with vital knowledge on food safety protocols, sanitation practices and sustainable waste management. The training was conducted by renowned food safety expert Dr V. Pasupathy, trainer from Parikshan.

With this latest edition, HRAWI has now successfully certified 3,607 professionals through its FoSTaC initiatives, reaffirming its dedication to promoting a robust culture of food safety. Its members include Restaurants and Hotels up to 5-Star Deluxe categories. With membership base spread across Western India, HRAWI covers Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Goa and Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, and is considered to be the voice of the Hospitality Industry. The association is part of the national body of the Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI), located in New Delhi, which was originally founded in Mumbai in 1950 by the late Mr J.R.D.
