- Crosses Milestone Of Certifying Over 3,500 Hospitality Professionals
Mumbai, May 19: The Hotel And Restaurant Association (Western India) – HRAWI organized FSSAI’s latest Food Safety Supervisor Training in Advance Catering (FoSTaC) online on 6th May 2025. Conducted by Prof Divya Bhaskar, the training session was attended by 30 hospitality professionals from Ginger Hotels from across Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. The programme equipped participants with essential knowledge on food safety protocols, sanitation practices and sustainable waste management strategies, aimed at strengthening food safety standards and operational excellence in the hospitality sector.
With this initiative, HRAWI has now facilitated the training and certification of 3,504 hospitality professionals across Western India, reaffirming its commitment to promoting a robust culture of food safety and compliance within the industry.

The Hotel And Restaurant Association (Western India) – HRAWI is a 74 years old Association of Hotels and Restaurants in Western India. Its members include Restaurants and Hotels up to 5-Star Deluxe categories. With membership base spread across Western India, HRAWI covers Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Goa and Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, and is considered to be the voice of the Hospitality Industry. The association is part of the national body of the Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI), located in New Delhi, which was originally founded in Mumbai in 1950 by the late Mr J.R.D. Tata.
