HRAWI ORGANIZES FSSAI’S LATEST FOSTAC PROGRAMME IN BHOPAL

Mumbai, Feb 05: The Hotel And Restaurant Association (Western India) – HRAWI conducted its latest Food Safety Supervisor Training in Advance Catering (FoSTaC) under the aegis of FSSAI, on January 29 at the Jehan Numa Palace Hotel in Bhopal. The session, attended by 32 hospitality professionals, covered essential topics including food handling, hygiene, sanitation and waste management. Participants gained practical insights to strengthen food safety measures within their establishments, reinforcing industry best practices.

The event was inaugurated by Mr Tejkulpal Singh Gorowara – Owner of Hotel Ranjeet, Bhopal; Ms Nisha Kamal – Trainer; Mr Shaji Thomas – Executive Assistant Manager & Mr Shashank Jain - HR Supervisor of Jehan Numa Palace Hotel, Bhopal; and Ms Manasi Parab – Admin Assistant - Training & Seminar, HRAWI.

HRAWI has successfully trained and certified 3,275 hospitality professionals through its FoSTaC training programmes. This underscores the Association’s commitment to promoting a culture of food safety and equipping industry professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to uphold the highest standards in their daily operations.

The Hotel And Restaurant Association (Western India) – HRAWI is a 74 years old Association of Hotels and Restaurants in Western India. Its members include Restaurants and Hotels up to 5-Star Deluxe categories. With membership base spread across Western India, HRAWI covers Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Goa and Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, and is considered to be the voice of the Hospitality Industry. The association is part of the national body of the Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI), located in New Delhi, which was originally founded in Mumbai in 1950 by the late Mr J.R.D. Tata.
