IHCL Opens 73rd Hospitality Skilling Centre At Nainital

Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) launches its 73rd Skilling Centre in Nainital, enhancing hospitality training in collaboration with Tata STRIVE and the Uttarakhand government.

MUMBAI, OCTOBER 24, 2025: Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality company, announces its 73rd Skilling Centre, a collaboration between IHCL, Tata STRIVE, Setu Aayog, and Government of Uttarakhand in Nainital. The centre was inaugurated by Shri Rajshekhar Joshi, Vice Chairman Setu Aayog.

Mr. Gaurav Pokhariyal, Executive Vice President – Human Resources, IHCL, said, “At IHCL, we believe that true hospitality begins with empowering communities. We are pleased to announce the 73rd  skilling centre in Nainital, a significant milestone in our journey to uplift and enable youth across the country. Under our ESG+ framework of Paathya, IHCL is committed to skill 1,00,000 by 2030. This initiative stands as one of the largest hospitality skilling programs with sustained impact across 21 states and 32 aspirational districts, reinforcing our dedication to inclusive growth.”

To meet the growing industry demand and unlock local potential, the centre will offer training to 500+ youth trained over the next 3 years. The programs will offer courses in core hospitality functions such as Food & Beverage Service, Food Production and Front Office. The Skill Centre in a multi partner collaboration will receive funding, facility and infrastructure development support from the Government of Uttarakhand with Tata Strive as the implementation partner, Setu Ayog undertaking program coordination and IHCL as the knowledge partner. The centre will have a strong focus on placement in local hotels.
