Mumbai, Jan 12: The Hotel And Restaurant Association (Western India) – HRAWI hosted the 5th edition of its HRAWI Awards 2026 on January 4, 2026, at the Hotel Omni Residency in Indore. The awards celebrated excellence, innovation, leadership, sustainability and legacy within the Madhya Pradesh’s (MP) hospitality sector. The awards honoured individuals and establishments that have significantly elevated hospitality standards and inspired industry growth in the state. The Chief Guest - Shri Tulsiram Silawat, Hon’ble Minister of Water Resources, Government of MP was felicitated by the Associations with a memento who later handed out the awards.

The event was held in conjunction with a Knowledge Summit on ‘Cybersecurity and Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Rules, 2025’ jointly hosted by the Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI), HRAWI and the Indore Hotel Association (IHA).
The hospitality industry was represented collectively at national and regional levels by key leaders including Shri Surendra Kumar Jaiswal, President, FHRAI; Shri Jimmy Shaw, President, HRAWI; Shri Garish Oberoi, Hon. Secretary, FHRAI and Shri Sumit Suri, President, IHA.

Previously held in Pune, Ahmedabad, Nashik and Lonavala, HRAWI Awards hosted in Indore recognized hotels, restaurants and hospitality professionals from across the State including Indore Marriott Hotel for Hotel of the Year – Excellence in Performance (Award received by Mr Mohit Kanwal, General Manager); THE Park Indore for Best New Hotel (Award received by Mr Anand Goyal, Owner); Mr Debjeet Banerjee, General Manager, THE Park Indore for Outstanding General Manager of the Year; WOW Crest, Indore – IHCL SeleQtions for Excellence in Sustainable Hospitality (Award received by Mr Vidhish Mhatre, General Manager); MPT Samrat Vikramaditya – The Heritage Hotel, Ujjain for Outstanding Contribution to Eco-Tourism & Heritage Luxury Stays (Award received by Mr Ajay Shrivastava, Regional Manager, MP Tourism); Sayaji Hotel, Indore for Transformative Impact on Tourism Development (Award received by Mr Abhishek Barnwal, Director – Operations); Hotel Shreemaya Residency, Indore for Legacy Hospitality Establishment Award (Award received by Directors Mr Mukesh Kumar Arora & Mr Rakesh Arora); Hotel Kanchan, Indore for Traditional Legacy Award – Restaurant Category and Mr Sumit Suri, Executive Committee Member, HRAWI & President, Indore Hotel Association for Outstanding Contribution to the Hospitality Sector.
The Associations also felicitated the Omni Group for hosting the event with special acknowledgement to Shri Hemant Suri, Co-founder & Chairman and Shri Jairaj Suri, Executive Director of Omni Group of Hotels for their support and hospitality.

The Hotel And Restaurant Association (Western India) – HRAWI is a 75 years old Association of Hotels and Restaurants in Western India. Its members include Restaurants and Hotels up to 5-Star Deluxe categories. With membership base spread across Western India, HRAWI covers Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Goa and Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, and is considered to be the voice of the Hospitality Industry. The association is part of the national body of the Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI), located in New Delhi, which was originally founded in Mumbai in 1950 by the late Mr J.R.D. Tata.
