Novotel Visakhapatnam Partners with Urzza Charge Tech to Boost Andhra's EV Infrastructure

 Novotel Visakhapatnam, Varun Beach announced a significant collaboration with Urzza Charge Tech, a Visakhapatnam-based company revolutionizing the EV charging landscapes across India by providing high-quality, user-friendly EV charging solutions for all types of electric vehicles. To mark the beginning of the sustainable venture, MP Mathukumilli Sri Bharat inaugurated an EV charging station at INOX and also registered his presence at Urzza Tech, sharing words of encouragement towards the initiative.

The collaboration aimed at advancing the electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure across Andhra Pradesh, building a robust and accessible EV charging network, driving the transition towards a greener and more sustainable future. This partnership marks a major step forward in promoting sustainable mobility and aligns with Novotel's ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship and innovation. This joint venture will bring state-of-the-art EV charging stations to key locations across the state, beginning with Vizag. This initiative underscores Novotel's dedication to sustainability and reflects its leadership in fostering green practices within the hospitality industry.

The event was attended by dignitaries from across the state including Sushil Reddy, a renowned energy engineer from IIT Bombay and an alumnus of the Master Program in Sustainability and Social Innovation at HEC Paris. Reddy, who is recognized for his two Guinness World Records for the longest electric bicycle journey, is currently on a 60-day, 8,000+ km journey across southern India to raise awareness about sustainable mobility. As part of his journey, Reddy made a special stop at Novotel Visakhapatnam to charge his vehicle and participate in the event. He also demonstrated the Urzza charger and engaged with the Novotel staff to discuss the innovative vision behind installing these charging stations.

The event brought together around 30 EV users from Vizag, local government officials, industry stakeholders, media representatives, influencers, and other esteemed guests including Mr. P. Sampath Kumar, IAS (Commissioner, GVMC), Mrs. Golagani Hari Venkata Kumari (Mayor, GVMC), Mr. Krishna Bhagavatula (CEO and Founder, Urzza Charge Tech), Mrs. Lakshmi Sridhar (General Manager, Novotel Visakhapatnam), Mr. Prabhu Kishore (Chairman, Varun Group) , Mr. Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu (Central Minister of Civil Aviation. Member, further emphasizing the collaborative effort needed to advance sustainable transportation in Andhra Pradesh.
