The Celebration Marked The 42nd Day Of The 100-day Countdown To The International Day of Yoga

Mumbai, May 13, 2025: The Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI) and The Hotel And Restaurant Association (Western India) – HRAWI in association with the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY) under the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, successfully organized a Yoga Mahotsav at Radisson Blu Resort, Cavelossim Beach, Goa on May 10. The celebration marked the 42nd day of the 100-day countdown to the International Day of Yoga and witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 350 representatives from the wellness, tourism, and hospitality sectors.

“Goa’s natural beauty and serene environment make it an ideal destination for wellness and yoga tourism. We take pride in supporting such initiatives that promote holistic well-being while enhancing tourism in Goa,” says Mr Vishal Pathak, Corporate General Manager, Radisson Blu Resort.

The event included a live demonstration of the Common Yoga Protocol conducted by Dr Joy Pereira, M.D. (Ph.D.), a Master Yoga Trainer accredited by the Ministry of AYUSH. Dr Pereira guided participants through each practice while elaborating on their health benefits, which attendees enthusiastically followed and performed.

“We prioritize wellness and yoga in Goa’s tourism offerings. Yoga and wellness not only enrich the tourist experience but also open new avenues for the hospitality industry. Today’s event successfully connected the yoga and hospitality sectors,” adds Mr Deepak Narvekar, Deputy General Manager – Marketing (Hotels) and PRO, Goa Tourism Development Corporation Ltd.
