 Barwara, Rajasthan – August 1, 2025: Six Senses Fort Barwara is proud to announce its recent recognition at the International Tourism Conclave & Travel Awards (ITCTA), where the resort was honored with the Best Sustainable Luxury Hospitality Award under the Six Senses Group of Hotels category. This prestigious accolade highlights the resort’s unwavering focus on sustainability, wellness, and curating transformative guest experiences rooted in environmental preservation.

In a further moment of pride, Six Senses Fort Barwara was also awarded the Bhamashah Award by the District Magistrate of Sawai Madhopur, acknowledging our ongoing commitment to community development and impactful local engagement.

The awards come as a testament to the resort’s consistent and evolving sustainability practices. Key milestones and recent community-centric projects include:

Yoga for All: In a bid to nurture body, mind, and community, a series of yoga sessions was hosted for over 100 students, educators, and residents, promoting mindfulness, unity, and well-being.

Health Camp at Barwara: Marking World Health Day, a medical camp was organized offering healthcare consultations and essential services to 86 community members, reinforcing access to well-being beyond the resort.

Eco Bag Initiative: 300 eco-friendly cloth bags were produced in-house using repurposed linen, reducing single-use plastic and instilling sustainable shopping habits within local communities.

School Garden Revitalization: Through the Garden Development Project at the local school, the resort is integrating environmental education with practical green space transformation to inspire the next generation of nature stewards.

Lake Cleanup Drive: In celebration of World Environment Day, a collective effort involving 65 volunteers resulted in the removal of 203 kilograms of waste, restoring the ecosystem and fostering civic responsibility.

Waste Management & Food Recycling: The resort has implemented a comprehensive waste categorization system and actively participated in the Six Senses Scrap Challenge, which showcased the culinary potential of typically discarded ingredients, reducing food waste while innovating with purpose.

Seed Bomb Workshops: Ahead of the monsoon season, hosts participated in hands-on seed bomb making, enhancing rewilding efforts and community awareness for sustainable living.
