The LaLiT Great Eastern Kolkata Unveils a Grand Festive Extravaganza for Durga Puja 2025

Kolkata, September 2025: As the city of joy prepares to embrace the grandeur of Durga Puja, The LaLiT Great Eastern Kolkata—which was once called the “Jewel of the East”—is set to elevate the festivities with a spectacular line-up of culinary delights, musical evenings, and themed celebrations. The hotel, steeped in history yet offering modern luxury, is curating experiences that reflect the spirit of Bengal while embracing the vibrancy of the season.

Sharodiya Mohabhoj at Alfresco – A Culinary Journey Like No Other at the heart of this year’s Durga Puja celebrations is the much-anticipated Sharodiya Mohabhoj at Alfresco, a grand buffet experience that beautifully blends Bengal’s rich culinary heritage with modern flair.

Curated by Executive Chef Sunayan Pramanik, the menu pays homage to traditional flavours while introducing contemporary twists, promising guests an unforgettable gastronomic journey.

The spread features a lavish selection of starters including Fulkopi Korai Sutir Singara, Ranihati’r Macher Chop, and Murgir Fuluri, followed by signature mains such as Chingri’r Chorchori, Nowabi Mangsher Rosa, Doi Rui, and Metiaburz Murgi’r Rezalla. For vegetarian guests, delicacies like Channar Malai Curry, Panchmesali Torkari, and Potol’r Dorma add to the festive indulgence. To end on a sweet note, the dessert selection brings together the best of Bengal and beyond with Malpua Lasagne, Gurer Soufflé, Rosomalai, Nolen Gurer Baked Yoghurt, and much more.

The lunch and dinner buffets are priced at ₹2,399 plus taxes and will be available from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM from September 28 to October 2, 2025, while the midnight buffet will be served from 1:00 AM to 3:00 AM between September 28 and October 1, 2025, priced at ₹1,299 plus taxes.

The celebrations kick off with Disco Dandiya Nights at The Great Ballroom on September 30th, 2025, with tickets starting at ₹1,199 onwards, bringing traditional Dandiya rhythms together with a glamorous party vibe. The excitement continues with the much-awaited Navami Party #PureLove by Kitty Su (Pop-Up) on October 1st at The Great Ballroom, with tickets priced from ₹1,100 onwards. The night will feature electrifying performances by DJ Triangle Edge, DJ Manish, and many more, ensuring high energy beats and a dance floor that stays alive well into the night.
