India,03rd November,2025– The Oberoi Group proudly presents Lord Vesper at The Oberoi, Gurgaon, a high-energy contemporary lounge bar designed to be a destination for immersive experiences. Named after the enigmatic figure of Lord Vesper, who embodies poise, elegance, and the art of unwinding, the bar combines design, mixology, cuisine, music, and Oberoi’s legendary service to create a space where every evening becomes memorable.

Lord Vesper is not a literal figure but a conceptual muse, representing sophistication, balance, and charm. His presence is felt in every detail - from the flowing design and dramatic interiors to the thoughtfully crafted beverages and dynamic culinary offerings. Every element of the lounge evokes the philosophy of refinement without excess, ritual without rigidity, and a celebration of life’s moments, big or small.

The beverage program, created in collaboration with Giancarlo Mancino, one of the world’s most awarded beverage consultants, is designed to suit every preference. Signature cocktails are spirit-forward yet lower in alcohol, lighter in calories, and incorporate seasonal ingredients, while inventive non-alcoholic options ensure inclusivity. Guests can indulge in creations such as Vespertini, Lady Yuzu, The Fallen Banana, and Mr Fennel & Mrs Dill, each designed to enhance conversation, connection, and celebration.

The interiors of Lord Vesper are a study in Structured Fluidity, where the hotel’s linear architecture gives way to a space that flows, curves, and adapts. Guests enter through a mysterious passage leading to a circular vestibule, subtly preparing them for the unfolding space beyond. The ground-floor indoor lounge features a central elliptical bar that serves as the nucleus of the design, complemented by a sweeping ribbon of light floating across the ceiling, visible even from the hotel atrium. The bar opens onto an expansive semi-covered terrace, offering stunning waterfront views, a foldaway all-season roof, and a lively alfresco experience that adapts seamlessly to Gurgaon’s climate.

Lord Vesper unfolds across three experiential layers: the ground-floor bar and lounge, a private mezzanine for intimate gatherings, and the alfresco bar for live performances. This layered design allows guests to transition effortlessly from intimate evenings to
high-energy celebrations, corporate entertaining, or simply a sophisticated night out with friends. The interiors feature a rich palette of Black Marquina marble, walnut teakwood, brushed brass, and glass, with layered lighting enhancing the sense of drama and allure. Curvilinear furniture, fluid circulation, and thoughtful material contrasts create a space that feels alive, immersive, and emotionally resonant.

The culinary program at Lord Vesper mirrors the creativity of the beverage offerings. The menu presents a fusion of global and local flavours, curated to accommodate diverse palates and dietary preferences. Signature dishes include Peruvian chilli avocado tartare with tanuki and organic quinoa crackers, Black truffles and parmesan fonduta Berliner with wild mushroom dust, Kerala coin paratha tacos with jackfruit roast and curry leaf cream, Tandoori chicken pot stickers with tomato fenugreek sauce, and Jack Daniel’s chicken wings with house-smoked BBQ sauce, among others. Each dish has been thoughtfully designed to complement the cocktails, providing a holistic sensory experience for guests.
Music plays a vital role in shaping the high-energy atmosphere of the bar. Carefully curated playlists evolve through the evening—from relaxed early evening tracks to energetic mid-evening rhythms, culminating in late-night DJs on Thursdays to Saturdays from 10 pm to 1 am (1:30 am on Saturdays), with live bands performing on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 7 pm to 10 pm. This layering of sound enhances the transitions across moods, creating a vibrant, engaging, and memorable nightlife experience.

Lord Vesper is open to guests seven days a week: Sundays to Thursdays from 5 pm to 1 am, and Fridays and Saturdays from 5 pm to 2 am. The lounge accommodates 32 covers indoors, 54 outdoors, and 20 on the mezzanine, totalling 106 covers.
