February 2025, New Delhi: As the world celebrates International Women’s Day, Andaz Delhi, by Hyatt, reaffirms its dedication to women’s safety, comfort, and empowerment through a series of meticulously designed initiatives. With a deep commitment to fostering an inclusive and secure environment, Andaz Delhi continues to set new industry standards, ensuring that every woman—whether a guest or an employee—feels valued, protected, and empowered.
Recognising the unique needs of solo female travellers, Andaz Delhi proactively identifies and highlights their reservations two days in advance. This allows the team to make personalised arrangements, prioritising their safety and preferences. Measures include avoiding corner or interconnecting rooms and ensuring room allocations near elevators for added security and convenience.
To further safeguard privacy, the list of single female travellers is shared internally on an incognito status. The Guest Experience Team serves as a dedicated point of contact, reaching out via WhatsApp or email before arrival, during the stay, and post-departure to ensure seamless communication and immediate assistance whenever needed.
Once checked in, women guests receive in-room service with minimal staff movement to ensure privacy and comfort. Any staff entry—whether for room service, housekeeping, or maintenance—is closely monitored, with respective area managers informed in advance. Additionally, guest preferences, such as room service timing and laundry pick-up, are noted to minimize disturbances and provide a seamless, hassle-free stay.
Beyond guest safety, Andaz Delhi takes an extra step in empowering their female staff too. Women guests and female employees receive complimentary pepper spray upon check-in, reinforcing personal safety. Moreover, the hotel has introduced several workplace initiatives to support female employees, including an on-site crèche facility for working mothers, regular health camps for overall well-being, odd-hour pickup and drop-off services, and ongoing awareness sessions on the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) within its premises.
“At Andaz Delhi, we celebrate women not just on Women’s Day but every day,” said Prriti Paayal, Director of Marketing and Communications at Andaz Delhi. “By integrating these thoughtful measures, we go beyond offering accommodation and employment; we are creating a space where women can travel and work with confidence, knowing their safety and well-being are our topmost priorities. Our commitment to women’s empowerment is deeply ingrained in our ethos, ensuring that every woman who walks through our doors feels secure, respected, and inspired.”
Through these proactive measures, Andaz Delhi, by Hyatt continues to champion gender inclusivity and empowerment in the hospitality industry. This Women’s Day, the hotel reaffirms its pledge to provide a safe, supportive, and empowering space for women, setting a benchmark for hospitality worldwide.
