Hyatt Mumbai Hotel & Residences appointed Director of Engineering – Mr. Chandrakant Kumavat

It gives me great pleasure to welcome Chandrakant Kumavat as a Director of Engineering for Grand Hyatt Mumbai Hotel & Residences, effective September 30, 2019.

Chandrakant, an Electrical Engineer and an Executive MBA by profession has diverse experience across various brands like Oberoi, ITC Grand Maratha, Renaissance, Shangri-La, Inox, etc. Having over two decades of exposure into his field of expertise, Chandrakant has handled almost everything right from pre-opening to project management, energy audits, SAP implementation, and so on. His last assignment was with Inox Leisure Limited as Area Vice President - Engineering before joining Grand Hyatt Mumbai Hotel & Residences.

Chandrakant is quite delighted and keen to be a part of the Grand Hyatt Mumbai Hotel & Residences team, since he is very passionate about his work and is looking forward to work with the existing colleagues to make a difference in this property through passion, focus, determination and hard work. He is fond of his family and spends his free time playing with his son, which makes him feel young at heart, and gives him the joy and memories of his childhood. Chandrakant believes in letting go of things that are not in our control and to rather focus on the ones that are in our hands and add value to our lives.
