MUMBAI, NOVEMBER 24, 2023: Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality company, today announced the signing of its sixth hotel under the Ginger brand in Kerala. The Greenfield project is expected to open in 2027.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President - Real Estate & Development, IHCL said, “With the addition of Ginger Bekal, IHCL will have three of its brands present in the destination. Bekal with its beautiful natural landscape is a key tourist attraction in Kerala and the new hotel will cater to this growing leisure market. The 150 -key hotel is strategically located on the Kerala State Highway at a drivable distance from Mangalore International Airport as well as important tourist destinations. The hotel will feature Qmin, the all-day diner offering a variety of global and local favourites, a banquet hall with additional meeting rooms, swimming pool, a fitness centre and a kids play area.

Bekal, a quaint town in the Kasaragod district of Kerala offers many tourist attractions like the Bekal fort, temples and serene beaches.
With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have 19 hotels across Taj, SeleQtions, Vivanta and Ginger brands in Kerala including six under development.
