A full week dedicated to the employees to celebrate the team members for bringing True Hospitality to life
New Delhi: The air was full of creativity and festivity at Crowne Plaza Today New Delhi Okhla as the employees celebrated the 10th edition of Annual IHG Service Week (popularly known as Celebrate Service Week).
Celebrate Service Week is an annual campaign of InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) which celebrates all the team members for bringing True Hospitality to life. This year, the occasion was celebrated between 24th June, 2019 to 30th June, 2019 at all the IHG hotels across the world.
Mr. Vivek Bhalla, Regional Vice President, South West Asia was a part of Celebrate Service Week celebrations at the hotel. He unveiled The Brand Hearted Heroes Book 2019 for the employees and felicitated the brand heroes. He also took out time to attend the Stake holder’s Meeting-Action Learning Study on Water Stewardship-Okhla site along with IHG partners Centers for International Projects Trust (CIPT) and Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) .Local community was represented by Okhla Industrial Area Association and Common Effluent Treatment Plant Society (CETP). Scientists from Central Ground Water Board (CGWB) were also present to lend their expertise on the matter.
In his message to the employees he shared that, “The Service Week is my favourite week of the year where I formally get an opportunity to say Thank you to the dedication and passion you all display while delivering extra ordinary services every day”.
The employees of Crowne Plaza Today New Delhi Okhla celebrated the Service Week with thematic days conceptualized, curated and executed by the team members of all the departments divided in groups. This offered them an excellent opportunity to live the IHG Winning Ways Culture and work better together.
Inaugural day of the Service Week hit the nostalgia nerve of all the employees with Back to College theme paired with activities such as ragging, Karaoke, Prom dance and Kya Aap Panchvi Pas Se Tej hai examination. The employees twisted on the retro melodies on the second day of the Service week coupled with theme dressing, Bollywood quiz and popular snacks from the B Town. Third day of the week was the scariest day of all with Halloween & Casino themed décor and spooky effects along with ghostly Cosplay. Delhi being the political centre of the country inspired the team to dedicate the day to Indian Politics with live news reporting and voting activities along with political gimmicks. The finale of the Service week witnessed Monthly Town hall followed by prize distribution and a skit on Environment Conservation and Say No to Plastic to raise awareness amongst the employees.
