India will always remember the contributions made by the hospitality industry during the Pandemic: Shri. Piyush Goyal

Shri. Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble Minister of Commerce & Industry and Railways, Government of India has addressed FHRAI Members on the issues related to Ease of Doing Business (EoDB), Copyrights, Service Export of India Scheme (SEIS) and other pertinent issues faced by the Hospitality Industry.

While Addressing the leaders of FHRAI, Shri. Piyush Goyal said,” Sometimes in life, you cannot control the circumstances given to us, we can only control how to react with it. Even despite been harmed severely because of the lockdown, tourism and hospitality sector has shown patience. India will always remember the contributions made by the industry during the crisis. After this pandemic, the way of life of the whole world is going to change and because of which we as a whole will observe great outcomes too”.He appreciated the industry for their new ideas for elevating engagements and preparedness to tackle the situation.  
Adding to this Shri Goyal said, ” The steps taken by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi in the last 6 years to lift the degree of cleanliness and hygiene will be beneficial for the entire nation and the country will witness its benefits in post covid era.” Responding to the inquiry concerning the continuing full-activity of Local trains in Mumbai.
Shri goyal said,” I can understand that Local trains are the lifeline of Mumbai. Home Ministry and State government are in regular discussion to design out the gradual resuming of the local trains. Until and except if any vaccination or cure for Covid-19 gets developed. On the same hand I also believe that moving towards normalcy is also important, we need to maintain the balance between life and livelihood pointing out the public gathering events which was taken place during the lockdown, he said, ” entire nation has witnessed the pessimistic effect of such gatherings, it is essential to guarantee the security of the individuals before offering relaxations to public gatherings and the public places where the footfalls are high”. Referring to the scenario of America which has the leading corona cases globally, Shri Goyal Said,” We have witnessed the situation of America, they have kept their Bars operational during the corona outbreak and result is in front of us”.
While answering the question regarding the “Unlock Process” he said “Process of Unlocking is as of now in the run and significantly all the limitations have been renounced by the central government and it is on the state government to take the final call on the restrictions according to the circumstance and necessity. Government is continuously working to come up with innovations and the industry should also come forward with their latest ideas. We are open to the suggestions which you all want to be included in the next unlock phase.
While addressing to the suggestions provided by the FHRAI, Shri Goyal has said that “he is with the industry for the requirement of easy approvals and single window clearance.Our government is also working the same direction to simplify the process.”
