The New York International Spirits Competition differs from other spirit competitions because its jury consists of active trade buyers from the hospitality and retail sectors. These judges bring a market-oriented perspective to the evaluation process, ensuring that the award-winning spirits meet the practical and quality expectations of the industry and value-conscious consumers.
In addition to quality, the judges also take into account the price and in-store placement of each drink. This approach ensures that medal winners excel in taste and craftsmanship, offer good value for money and are attractive to the market. All spirits are judged through blind tastings.
“Kadamba single-malt whisky has an exceptional aromatic intensity that comes from handpicked casks from selected reserves, is specially crafted for the tastes of modern whisky enthusiasts,”
Ashwin Balivada CEO of Cheers group.
"Kadamba single-malt bagged many International awards that not only honor the rich heritage of the Kadamba dynasty, from which the whisky draws its name and symbolizes the Golden Age of Goa, but also firmly establish India as a producer of world-class single-malt whiskies"
Dr. Divya Balivada Global Creative Director of Cheers group.
Kadamba single-malt whisky is known for its complex flavours, which are a result of the unique combination of factors that go into its production. The maritime climate gives the whisky a slight salty tang, while the six-row high quality barley malt that’s pot distilled adds a touch of sweetness. The charred barrels adds a fiery smoky flavour during ageing, but it’s not overpowering. Cheers!
