India's Pride Kadamba Single-malt Crowned World’s Best

Indulge in the opulence of Kadamba Single-Malt Whisky, a testament to tradition and a pursuit of perfection. Paying homage to the illustrious ‘Kadamba’ dynasty, which reigned for three centuries and defined the Golden Age of Goa, this exceptional Indian single-malt clinched Best in World award.

The World Whiskies Awards is one of the world’s most important whisky competitions, held every year in England, and featuring all of the world’s leading whisky brands. The competition comprises a panel of judges selecting winners for each category, following months-long blind tastings of approximately 6,000 different types of whiskies from the world’s top 60 distilleries.

This year, Kadamba was awarded "Best Indian Single-malt whisky" among many of the International whisky contenders for awards. Kadamba has all the romance of a bountiful Barley-malt harvest of India, it boldly delivers undeniable zest with every sip.

At the awards, also known as Icons of Whisky and presented by the U.K.’s Whisky Magazine, 'Kadamba' Signature Expression — a double-distilled whisky aged in a combination of bourbon, sherry and virgin American oak casks for a complex, velvety and full-bodied flavour — won 'best Indian single-malt whisky award'.

Cheers group's wins mean the distillery has joined the ranks of global whisky companies like Suntory, Red Breast, J.P Wiser and Johnny Walker.

"Despite winning numerous honours for our whiskies, we soared to great new heights, at the most important whisky awards worldwide, symbolising the pinnacle of quality and distinction in the ultra-premium Single-malt sector and we thank the jury for the award,"

Dr. Mohan Krishna founder of Cheers group.

"Competition was intense with around 6,000 whiskies from World-over in the fray. These accolades have a legacy of recognising and honouring true craftsmanship of the very finest spirts, with winners frequently becoming yardsticks against which the luxury sector measures itself. Many aspire but just a few attain these titles,"

Ashwin Balivada CEO of Cheers group.

"To be presented with such significant wins at the competitions emphasises the exceptional eminence and appeal of our whiskeys, showcasing their distinction. It is an honour, and an additional stamp of approval for our brand Kadamba," adds Ashwin.

"This latest accolades affirm our dedication to becoming the beacon of Indian Single-malt whisky artistry worldwide and thank our entire team for being part of our award-winning journey"
