Indulge in the Flavors of India: Sheraton Hyderabad's Indian Culinary Treasures

A Celebration of Authentic Home-Cooked Delicacies from Across the Country

Hyderabad 14th February 2023: Sheraton Hyderabad recently hosted the "Indian Culinary Treasures" event, showcasing eight talented home cooks from eight different regions who presented authentic Indian dishes. The event, held from 7th to 16th Feb 2023, highlighted the diversity and uniqueness of homemade Indian cuisine, offering guests a taste of pure and classic dishes, and offered the chefs a chance to showcase their incredible cooking skills. Sheraton Hyderabad Hotel welcomed the home cooks with a special dinner at one of the city’s most preferred restaurants, The Feast.

The home cooks, who came from various backgrounds including homemaking, corporate jobs, and cafe or home kitchen ownership, brought their personal touch and cultural heritage to each dish. Under the expert guidance of MasterChef Telugu judge Chef Mahesh Padala, the event celebrated the power of Indian cooking and the emotions it carries.

The eight incredible chefs are:

Karamjit - with 17 years of experience in the hospitality industry and a hotel management degree from KNPW, she was showcasing her expertise in authentic North Indian cuisine.

Meera - an architect and self-taught baker, Meera was bringing the flavors of Andhra cuisine to the festival.

Spoorthi - an entrepreneur, HRM graduate from Irvine University, and the owner of a pre-school. Spoorthi has been cooking since she was 12 years old and specializes in Karnataka cuisine.

Ruheen - with an MBA from Thames Valley University, she runs her own kitchen through delivering private orders for individuals. Inspired by her grandmother’s cooking, Ruheen has continued the tradition and cooks Hyderabadi food, which has been derived from Nizami Cuisine.

Kanisetty - works with a cloud kitchen and loves to bring people joy with her cooking. She brings delicious Rayalseema cuisine to the event.

Sriya - a management graduate with a Masters in Business Administration (Human Resource) currently managing a family-owned engineering products manufacturing business in Hyderabad. Her love for cooking began at a young age and was inspired by her grandmother and mother, and she cooked Lucknowi Cuisine.

Nandita - runs her own cloud kitchen and bakery named Tastyslop. Nandita began cooking and baking at a young age and has now gone on to specialize in authentic Bengali cuisine and Bengali fusion desserts.

Manisha - is an MBA graduate from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad, with experience in the IT industry. She is showcasing her incredible and authentic Telangana dishes.
