Institute of Bakery & Culinary Arts students participated in Culinary Art India (Aahar) 2024. This year’s edition of the event has brought together some of the best culinary talents across the country, where participants can showcase their skills and innovative recipes. The event aims to honor, educate, and celebrate deserving chefs while providing them with a platform to present their culinary expertise. The IBCA students and faculty members won 10 Gold, 7 Silver, and 3 Bronze, medals.

Sanyam Chopra won the Gold medal (Live Sandwich), Reena won the Gold medal (Live Sandwich), Ayushi won the Gold medal (Dress the Cake), Simarjeet Singh won the Gold medal (Live Sandwich), Khushbu won the Gold medal (Live Cooking Rice), Shally Sabharwal won the Gold medal (Dress the Cake), Diksha Khandelwal won the Gold medal (Plated Dessert), Prashant Pachori won the Gold medal (Petit Fours), Oshien Kaur won Gold medal (Petit Fours), Silver medal (Chocolate mania), Ravi won the Gold medal (Chocolate mania) and Silver medal (Plated Dessert), Kunal Arora won the Silver medal (Live Sandwich), Suhani Arora won the Silver medal (Dress the Cake), Muskan Grover won the Silver medal (Dress the Cake), Aldisona won the Silver medal (Dress the Cake), Sahej Preet Kaur won the Silver Medal (Petit Fours), Sumit Saini won the Bronze medal (Plated Appetizers), Navpreet Kaur won the Bronze medal (Live Cooking Rice), Yashita Wasson won the Bronze medal (Dress the Cake). Through engaging in the competition, students learn to appreciate their working skills, gain valuable life skills by working as a team, gain confidence by presenting and speaking about their recipes and develop culinary skills that they can use later in life.

This year’s edition featured over 600 chefs showcasing their culinary excellence under 18 categories, marking the largest participation in the event’s history. Also, master classes were conducted by industry top chefs to share knowledge and experience among the students.
