ABOUT AKASH KALRA, MD, UNITED GROUP

United Coffee House, a Delhi icon for 80 years, is now led by Akash Kalra, a third-generation hotelier. Akash’s passion for food was inevitable, having grown up around culinary artists and entrepreneurs. With a degree from Delhi University and courses in hospitality and entrepreneurial excellence, he made United Group a pan-Indian brand. Mr Kalra takes pride in being a custodian of UCH’s bygone era and has revived its recipes. He founded United Catering Services, a bespoke catering division of the group, in 2004.
