IRCTC planning Ramayana Tour

IRCTC is planning to run a Bharat Darshan Special Tourist Train, Ramayana Tour. the train will begin from Tirunelveli in March. The passengers on this special train will be boarding from Madurai, Dindigul, Karur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Katpadi and Chennai Central. The train will cover all the places which are significant in Ramayana. 

The places will include, Chitrakoot Dham, Buxar, Raghunathpur, Sitamarhi, Janakpuri, Ayodhya, Nandigram, Prayagraj, Shringavepur, Nasik and Hampi. The tour will begin on 5th March and will end on 18th March. The charges for the same will be INR 15,900 per person, including the GST. the services covered under the charges will be, train fare in sleeper class, accommodation in non-AC halls, non-AC road transfer, South Indian vegetarian food, a tour escort and security for each coach. 

SS Jagannathan, General Manager, IRCTC said, “This is a budget yatra and in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to promote domestic tourism among citizens”. Air travel can be arranged for the people who wish to visit Sri Lanka which also has a major role to play in Ramayana. Central and State government employees can avail LTC for this tour.
