ITC Grand Chola completes a milestone of Nine Glorious Years! The hotel’s decade-long commitment to Responsible Luxury includes a slew of one-of-a-kind initiatives that have changed the landscape of Chennai.

  1. Rated the world's largest 'LEED® Platinum' certified Hotel during inception. One of the largest hotel in the country is built on more than 14,870 m2 and is the first 600 key super-premium integrated luxury hotel complex in the state of Tamil Nadu.
  • Hosting the first-of-its-kind largest banqueting and convention facilities in Chennai it is the largest banqueting and convention facilities in a Hotel in the state including 2465 m2 of pillarless ballroom. This glorious facility has made Chennai one of the convention capitals of the world.
  • ITC Grand Chola serves up the largest food & beverage destination in the state with 10 award-winning food and beverage outlets, including ITC’s signature culinary brands, Peshawri and Pan Asian.  The hotel hosts the 1st vegetarian restaurant in the luxury hotel space in the state – Royal Vega - showcasing the grand cuisine from the Royal Kitchens of India. With Avartana – the reimagined South Indian Cuisine restaurant, ITC Grand Chola has encountered new highs of culinary excellence and innovation.
  • With food at the forefront, can wellness be left behind? The hotel is the destination of the largest luxury spa in the city  - 1781 m2 - Kaya Kalp-The Royal Spa.
  • We are among the largest employers in the city, and at the time of construction of the hotel, had employed more than 10000 artisans.
  • Recently, ITC Grand Chola has implemented the highly advanced patented and ultra-efficient Atmospheric Water Generator (AWG) technology which helps in producing drinking water locally with renewable wind energy.
  • Most of our electrical energy requirements met through renewable energy sources - windfarms.
  • We take pride in our efficient use of recycled water.
  • Other green practices include the in-house bottling unit - SunyaAqua; Zero-mile water, and an avoidance of single-use plastic.
