The fully air-conditioned and well-equipped Ambulance to expedite the progress of healthcare services in the border district
New Delhi/Ferozepur(Punjab), 5th July 2019: India Tourism Development Corporation Ltd. (ITDC) the public sector undertaking under the aegis of Ministry of Tourism, Govt of India, today handed over a fully air-conditioned, Ambulance to District Administration Ferozepur, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The ambulance is equipped with modern facilities at par with national standards.
Mr. Piyush Tiwari, Director (Commercial & Marketing), ITDC and Mr. Suresh Chandra, General Manager, (Engineering Division), ITDC especially travelled to Ferozepur and handed over the keys of the new ambulance to Mr. Chander Gaind (IAS), Deputy Commissioner, District Administration.
It is believed that the modern ambulance will further catapult the progress of healthcare services in the border district. The ambulance is well equipped with all prime amenities required for a patient like a Suction pump, Oxygen Cylinder “B” Type, Nebulizer, Portable Glucometer, Pneumatic splints, B.P instrument, defibrillator and Ventilator. It will be operated and maintained by the civil surgeon Ferozepur, who will recruit experienced staff to operate the new ambulance.
Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Piyush Tiwari, Director (Commercial and Marketing), ITDC said that, “For ITDC, giving back to society has always been of utmost importance and our CSR initiatives reflect the same. We take pride in our humble contributions towards the welfare of the society and glad to be a part of this initiative that will positively impact the health and wellness of people of Ferozepur. We are certain that the Advanced Life Support- Ambulance will help improve the healthcare services and facilities of the district.”
The civil surgeon of the district, Rajinder Kumar said that, “This ambulance will prove to be a boon for the much needed rural healthcare services of the district. The ambulance will be stationed at sub-divisional hospital of Zira. The ambulance will cater to the people of Zira and other nearby areas.”
