With over a decade of expertise in delivering marketing plans and propelling top hospitality brands to highest levels of success, Soumodeep Bhattacharya is currently employed with JW Marriot Kolkata in the vital position of Director, Sales and Marketing.

In this present role, this goal-oriented and articulate speaker is already taking giant strides in leveraging his indepth experience to influence stakeholders and translate ideas into results. Soumodeep’s key responsibility area includes maximizing the revenue of this top hospitality brand – he is pioneering his team to develop marketing and promotional programs to make profitable use of the accommodation, conferencing and leisure facilities at the hotel. Preparation of the Annual Business Plan in co-ordination with other departmental heads, recruitmenttraining-mentoring of the sales and marketing team, managing marketing resources and funds, compliance to hotel

This dynamic 35-year-old has enjoyed a progressive career growth since completing his degree in Bachelor of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition from IHM, Hyderabad in 2005. He undertook his Industrial Training at the Oberoi Grand Kolkata and his Professional Training with Hyatt Hotels. Prior to joining JW Marriot Kolkata, Soumodeep has been very efficacious in galvanizing high-performing teams in his previous stints at the same designation with Le Meridien Goa, Hyatt Place Goa and Hyatt Raipur. Earlier in his career, he made his way up the corporate ladder through his association with other top-of-the line players in the industry such as
Westin Mumbai Garden City – Starwood, Grand Hyatt Mumbai and Park Hyatt Goa Resort & Spa.

Soumodeep’s leadership qualities, adeptness as a team player, natural flair for forging business dealsand aptitude for taking sound decisions have been the pillars for the northward climb in his career graph.
