Kadamba Single-malt Wins 'Gold' at Belgium International Monde Selection Awards

Kadamba Single-malt whisky has won the Gold Award at the 2025 Edition of the Monde Selection’s Quality Awards. This recognition highlights the quality of Kadamba and its reputation in the Single-malt whisky industry.

Established in Belgium in 1961, Monde Selection is known for its comprehensive evaluations of spirits and liqueurs. The awards are based on organoleptic and scientific criteria, making the Monde Selection Quality Award a significant accolade in the industry, with many spirits competing for the honor annually.

Monde Selection, the International Institute for Quality Selections, is an international body recognised for developing unique expertise to test and analyse consumer goods from around the world for the last 50 years.

The Monde Selection quality label can be displayed on the awarded product, representing an indisputable guarantee of quality to the consumer. Instantly recognisable by the Monde Selection logo, consumers will be assured the products have been tested and approved by a totally independent international professional jury panel.

This accolade celebrates not only the brand’s exceptional craftsmanship but also its deep-rooted connection to the Kadamba dynasty, a symbol of Goa’s golden era. The whisky, produced by The Cheers Group, undergoes a meticulous 'Humidity Aging process' and is aged in bourbon sherry and virgin American oak casks, creating a complex, full-bodied flavour with tropical fruit and vanilla notes.

Cheers Group, has over 120 brands, including Kadamba, Three Monkeys Single-Malt and Labrodog Premium Scotch showing double digit growth, is valued at Rs 800 crores. As global spirits giants seek stakes in India’s fast-growing whisky sector, the group’s success highlights the rising stature of Indian luxury whiskies.
