New Delhi, September 11, 2025: In a landmark moment for India’s whisky connoisseurs, The Glen Grant unveiled its oldest and most exclusive expression to date; the 65-Year-Old from the Splendours Collection, at an intimate evening in Delhi. Distilled in 1958 and nurtured for an extraordinary 65 years in a single French oak butt, this rare single malt is among the oldest ever released in the world. With only 151 handcrafted decanters created globally, each priced at €50,000, the release underscores the unmatched rarity and heritage of The Glen Grant, available exclusively in India market.

The showcase, themed “Pour of a Lifetime,” transported guests into The Glen Grant’s world of timeless craftsmanship and rarity, celebrating a whisky that truly takes a lifetime to create.

Debuting the Splendours Collection, the 65-Year-Old draws inspiration from the distillery’s legendary Garden of Splendours. Its design reflects the delicate yet resilient Himalayan Blue Poppy, one of the rarest flowers on earth and a lasting symbol of The Glen Grant’s pursuit of beauty, rarity, and excellence.

Encased in a hand-blown decanter by Glasstorm, each bottle rests in a Cherry wood Mobius cradle designed by John Galvin - a continuous form symbolizing timelessness. Rose-gold embellishments engraved with blue poppies complete the design, making every decanter a collectible masterpiece.

Crafted by Master Distiller Greig Stables, the whisky was distilled through The Glen Grant’s iconic tall, slender pot stills and water-cooling purifiers, before being laid down in Warehouse No. 4, the distillery’s oldest stone dunnage warehouse, where it patiently matured for over six decades.

Its deep mahogany hue reveals aromas of treacle, ripe blackberries, and sandalwood, with a palate of orange, black cherries, rich fruit cake, and sticky dates. The finish lingers with citrus, oak, spice, and a delicate wisp of smoke.

Greig Stables said, “The Glen Grant 65-Year-Old captures not just six decades of time, but a lifetime of character. Though distilled in 1958, it was crafted using methods virtually unchanged today, honoring the legacy of our forefathers. It is a whisky of rarity, depth, and distinction, unmistakably The Glen Grant.”

Highlighting India’s rising role in the luxury spirits market, Shivam Misra, Managing Director, Group Campari India, said: “India is rapidly becoming one of the most exciting growth markets for luxury spirits, with consumers showing a clear preference for experiences that combine heritage, exclusivity, and storytelling. Showcasing The Glen Grant 65-Year-Old is a testament to our commitment towards building Glen Grant and reflects our ambition to drive premiumization in the single malt category.”

The evening positioned The Glen Grant as a true pioneer in luxury single malts, giving Indian whisky enthusiasts a glimpse into a creation that few in the world will ever experience - the extraordinary patience, rarity, and legacy embodied in a whisky aged for 65 years.
